Since its inception by Pauline Moynat in 1849, Moynat has always been recognized as an emblem of discreet and uncompromising luxury with the ultimate Parisian charm.
After the brand has been taken over by Mr Arnault in 2011, its first store in Paris has become the haunt of connoisseurs looking for splendid and unusual pieces.
Now, Moynat travels outside France for the first time in its history to bring the House’s strong and personal style signature to the chic neighbourhood of Mayfair in London.
Moynat opens its first store outside of Paris in one of the most charming neighbourhoods of London, at 112 Mount Street facing the Connaught.
Occupying two floors, the store includes women's and men's leather goods and accessories, trunks and textiles. An in-store atelier is dedicated to the signature personalization service, from hand painting of initials, to taking orders for made-to-measure trunks and handbags.
The boutique is again designed by Gwenael Nicolas, director of Curiosity. The domed ceiling and the arched windows echo the signature curves on Moynat trunks and handbags.
The pattern of the ceiling is inspired by the Art Deco period, the golden age of Moynat, when the artist Henri Rapin was the creative director of the House.
